Group Accountant
Group Accountant:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO (and Head of Group Reporting) in managing the Group accounting function for our holding company and its 23 subsidiaries.
The main accountabilities are;
- Ensuring efficient management of cash resources and maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial advisors. This role is crucial for optimizing liquidity, managing risk, and supporting the company’s financial stability and growth.
- Managing the transfer pricing structure for the group, working with our external advisors to ensure we have strong governance and control and it is managed in the most efficient way.
- Supporting the Head of Group Reporting in delivering the annual audit and the additional requirements as a result of ISA600 – work with the subsidiaries to ensure the local accounts meet the requirements of the group auditors
- Working with CFO and Head of Group reporting to optimise processes and efficiencies in the Group Reporting team specifically in relation to the ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) and ensuring we are using the functionality available
- Support the CFO on adhoc projects such as new business opportunities, new entity set ups, mergers, disposals etc
Who you are:
- A highly driven, organised, self starter with a passion for food!
- Data Interpretation: Ability to analyze complex financial data and grasp the ‘big picture’ to provide meaningful insights
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and identifying discrepancies
- Communication: Effective communication with various stakeholders, including auditors, subsidiary accountants, and senior management
- Collaboration: Working closely with different departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet strict monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines
- Prioritization: Managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively to ensure timely completion of financial reports
- Confidentiality: Handling sensitive financial information with discretion.
Technical Proficiency
- ACA Qualified with 3 years post qualification experience
- Accounting Standards: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant accounting principles
- Financial Software: Proficiency in using financial software and tools for consolidation and reporting
