Purchase Ledger Clerk (Maternity Cover) - Junior Level Role (looking for 1 year of experience)

Role (Purpose of the Position)

The person in this position will be primarily supporting the accounts’ payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. They must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with internal teams.

The candidate will support the local team in the day-to-day management of accounting and administration. Reporting to Iberia Finance Manager, you will collaborate with other teams and departments within our European organization to carry out financial activities such as monthly closings.

Main Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

• Support of managing the full accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment.

• Enter, verify, and track supplier invoices in the accounting system.

• Process and record transactions accurately in the accounting ledgers.

• Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records related to payments, invoices, and account statuses.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP.

• Process intercompany transactions as required.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of records.

Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• 1 year of experience in accounts payable or related finance role.

• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.).

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable.

• Proactive and able to work independently.

• Fluent in Spanish and high-level English, to communicate effectively with teams across other countries.

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
